Polish Belts – 30 x 533mm

These 30 x 533mm abrasive polish belts are used with a 30mm belt sander or linisher to grind, refine, and finish stainless steel surfaces progressively — from coarse material removal through to near-mirror pre-polish preparation. Seven grits are available, each serving a specific stage in the finishing sequence. Select your required grit as a variant.

Achieving a professional finish on stainless steel is a progressive process — each grit removes the scratch pattern left by the previous one, working the surface through successively finer stages until it is smooth, consistent, and ready for polishing compounds. Skipping grits produces an uneven result that compounds and polishing mops cannot correct. Work through each stage in sequence for the best outcome.

P60 — Coarse. The starting point for surfaces with significant imperfections — weld marks, heavy scratches, and grinding marks. Removes material quickly to establish a clean, consistent base for the finer stages that follow.

P80 — Medium-Coarse. Refines after P60, or serves as the starting point on surfaces with moderate imperfections where P60 would remove more material than necessary.

P120 — Medium. Continues the refinement process after P80. At P120 the surface begins to develop the consistent directional scratch pattern of a brushed satin finish — this grit can serve as a final step for installations where a brushed satin result is the intended finish.

P180 — Medium-Fine. Removes the P120 scratch pattern and brings the surface to a brighter, more reflective quality — approaching pre-polish readiness. A key step in any mirror polishing sequence.

P240 — Fine. Produces a bright, smooth surface with a very fine scratch pattern. At P240 the surface is noticeably reflective and close to the quality required before transitioning to polishing compounds.

P320 — Very Fine. The finest standard abrasive belt — the last belt stage before polishing compounds. Leaves a near-mirror surface that gives the green cutting compound the best possible starting point.

P600 — Ultra-Fine. For surfaces already in good condition, repair polishing of existing mirror-finish stainless steel, and applications where only the finest pre-polish preparation is needed. Produces a near-mirror finish straight off the belt.
