At Balustrader, we manufacture our stainless steel balustrade components to order, ensuring every kit meets our quality standards before it leaves our workshop. Please read the information below so you know exactly what to expect after placing your order.

How Our Order Process Works

Because we manufacture our products specifically for each order, your goods do not ship from off-the-shelf stock. This means you receive professional-grade components built to your specification โ€” not pre-packaged items sitting in a warehouse.

Step 1 โ€” Payment Confirmed

Once your payment has been successfully processed and confirmed, your order enters our manufacturing and preparation queue immediately.

Step 2 โ€” Manufacturing & Preparation

All orders are manufactured and prepared within 10 โ€“ 15 working days of confirmed payment. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding South African public holidays. During peak seasons (e.g. December/January), lead times may be slightly extended โ€” we will communicate any delays to you promptly.

Step 3 โ€” Courier Dispatch & Delivery

Once your order has been quality-checked and packed, it is handed over to our courier partner. Standard courier delivery takes 2 โ€“ 3 working days from dispatch to most major urban areas in South Africa.

Total Estimated Delivery Time

Please allow 12 โ€“ 18 working days from the date of confirmed payment to the date of delivery at your door. Orders to outlying and regional areas may take slightly longer due to courier routing.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout based on the size and weight of your order:

  • Small order โ€” R100
  • Standard order โ€” R250
  • Large order โ€” R800

All prices include VAT. For unusually large or complex orders, our team will contact you prior to dispatch if any additional freight charges apply.

Delivery Coverage

We deliver nationwide across South Africa, including all major cities and most regional areas. This includes โ€” but is not limited to โ€” Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), Bloemfontein, East London, and surrounding suburban areas.

Please note that deliveries to remote, farm, or regional addresses may take longer than the standard 2 โ€“ 3 working days once dispatched.

Order Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a notification containing your tracking number and courier details. You can then track your order directly on the courier’s website or app at any time. If you have not received tracking information within 16 working days of your confirmed payment, please contact us immediately.

Important Notes

  • Working days are Monday to Friday only โ€” weekends and public holidays are excluded from lead time calculations.
  • Ensure your delivery address is accurate at the time of ordering. We are unable to redirect parcels once they have been dispatched.
  • Someone must be available to receive the delivery. If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, re-delivery fees may apply.
  • Balustrader is not liable for delays caused by third-party courier services once the order has been dispatched.
  • For large orders, please ensure there is adequate space and personnel available to receive and offload goods.
