The 40 x 40mm Square Glass Clamp Stanchion combines the clean geometry of a square post with the practicality of a fully pre-drilled, ready-to-install glass balustrade system. With rivnuts already fitted to the post face for glass clamp attachment, it is designed to bolt straight down and accept your glass panels without any welding or on-site fabrication.

The square profile creates a bold, architectural post that pairs naturally with glass panels — the strong angular lines of the post set against the transparency of the glass produces a sharp, contemporary contrast that suits modern homes and commercial spaces alike. It also works well in balustrade systems that combine glass infill panels with square-profile top rails, creating a cohesive square-tube aesthetic throughout.

Glass clamps are bolted to the rivnuts after the post is fixed in position, giving you full adjustability during installation. Each pack includes the base plate, cover plate, and saddle bracket — all fixing hardware, glass clamps, glass panels, and top rail tubing are sold separately.

Grade 304 is strong and reliable, suited to internal applications and external use in non-coastal, non-corrosive environments — ideal for inland areas such as Johannesburg, Pretoria, and most non-coastal suburbs.

Grade 316 (Marine Grade) offers superior corrosion resistance and is the essential choice for coastal properties, poolside installations, and any environment exposed to salt air, moisture, or chemicals. If you are in Cape Town, the Winelands, Durban, or any coastal area, Grade 316 is strongly recommended.
