Coverplate – Square – 40 x 40mm

The 40 x 40mm Square Coverplate is the base finishing piece for 40 x 40mm square bolt-down post installations. It slides over the post and sits flat on the floor over the base plate, concealing all fixing hardware beneath a mirror-polished stainless steel cover that carries the design of the post cleanly all the way to floor level.

Choose from two styles to suit your design:

Decorative features a stepped, sculpted profile that reinforces the geometric character of the square post above it. The crisp, angular form of the square coverplate and the clean lines of the 40 x 40mm post form a cohesive, purposeful detail from floor to top rail — with the decorative profile adding depth and refinement at the base.

Domed offers a smooth, curved profile that introduces a subtle contrast against the angular geometry of the square post above it. The gentle dome softens the base slightly, giving the overall assembly a refined, considered quality that suits contemporary installations where clean lines are paired with soft, minimal accents.

Both styles require no fixings and hold themselves firmly in position once slid into place. Manufactured in Grade 316 Marine Grade stainless steel with a mirror polish finish.

Installation Note

Slide the coverplate onto the post before attaching the saddle, top rail, or any infill components — it cannot be threaded on afterwards. Once the post is secured to the ground, simply slide the coverplate down into its final position over the base plate at any point before the top rail and infills are fitted.
