The 50.8mm Round Glass Clamp Stanchion is a complete, ready-to-install post for glass panel balustrade systems. Pre-drilled with rivnuts already fitted for glass clamp attachment, it arrives ready to bolt down and accept your chosen glass clamps — no welding, no fabrication, and no specialist tools required on site.

At 900mm height and 50.8mm in diameter, this post provides a strong, substantial upright that suits both semi-frameless glass panels and mixed glass-and-tube balustrade systems. The 50.8mm profile is the more structural of the two round options, handling wider glass panel spans and more exposed locations with confidence.

Glass clamps are attached to the pre-installed rivnuts on the post face, allowing the glass panels to be bolted securely in place after installation. This approach gives you full control over glass panel positioning during installation — a significant advantage for DIYers working alone or in pairs.

Each pack includes the base plate and cover plate for a clean ground-level finish, and a saddle bracket for your chosen top rail. Glass clamps, glass panels, top rail tubing, fixing hardware, and end caps are all sold separately.

Grade 304 is strong and reliable, suited to internal applications and external use in non-coastal, non-corrosive environments — ideal for inland areas such as Johannesburg, Pretoria, and most non-coastal suburbs.

Grade 316 (Marine Grade) offers superior corrosion resistance and is the essential choice for coastal properties, poolside installations, and any environment exposed to salt air, moisture, or chemicals. If you are in Cape Town, the Winelands, Durban, or any coastal area, Grade 316 is strongly recommended.
