The 38.1mm Round Cable Stanchion is a slimmer, more refined option for cable balustrade systems. Pre-drilled and ready to bolt down at 900mm height, it delivers all the functionality of the 50.8mm version in a lighter, more understated post profile — ideal for shorter cable runs, internal applications, and designs where a less imposing upright is preferred.

The 38.1mm diameter suits residential deck balustrades, internal staircases, and balcony railings where the cables are the visual feature and the posts are intended to support rather than dominate. Its slender profile also makes it a popular choice for secondary balustrade runs alongside primary structural elements such as walls or glass panels.

Each pack includes the base plate and cover plate for a clean floor-level finish, and a saddle bracket for your chosen top rail. All cables, top rail tubing, fixing hardware, and end caps are sold separately.

Grade 304 is strong and reliable, suited to internal applications and external use in non-coastal, non-corrosive environments — ideal for inland areas such as Johannesburg, Pretoria, and most non-coastal suburbs.

Grade 316 (Marine Grade) offers superior corrosion resistance and is the essential choice for coastal properties, poolside installations, and any environment exposed to salt air, moisture, or chemicals. If you are in Cape Town, the Winelands, Durban, or any coastal area, Grade 316 is strongly recommended.
