Post Converter – Knock-in – Round – 50.8mm

The 50.8mm Round Knock-In Post Converter allows a standard 50.8mm round stainless steel post to accept a wooden or custom handrail in place of a standard stainless steel top rail. The converter presses firmly into the open top of the post by hand — no tools, adhesive, or fixings required — and provides a flat mounting plate on top that your wooden or custom handrail can be fixed to directly.

This is the ideal solution for projects where a stainless steel post system is combined with a timber handrail for warmth, a composite handrail for low maintenance, or any custom profile that would otherwise be incompatible with a standard saddle fitting. It bridges the gap between the structural stainless post and whatever handrail material or profile the design calls for, without any modification to the post itself.

The knock-in stem is sized to fit snugly into the 50.8mm post opening, holding the converter securely in place once pressed home. Installation takes seconds and requires no specialist tools or skills.

Grade 316 (Marine Grade) offers superior corrosion resistance and is the essential choice for coastal properties, poolside installations, and any environment exposed to salt air, moisture, or chemicals.
