Basic Tensioner – 65mm

The 65mm Basic Tensioner is the adjustable tensioning fitting used at the live end of a 4mm cable run. It threads into the post and accepts the swaged cable end — turning the tensioner body draws the cable tighter, allowing the correct tension to be applied and maintained across the full run.

The 65mm thread length suits shorter cable runs and installations where a more compact tensioner profile is preferred or required by the post design. It can also suit custom cable lengths where the precise amount of thread engagement needed falls within the shorter range. If your run is longer or requires a greater range of tension adjustment, the 110mm tensioner provides additional thread engagement and a wider adjustment range.

The basic tensioner is a straightforward, tool-accessible fitting — no special equipment is required beyond a spanner or adjustable wrench to turn the tensioner body. Re-tensioning over time is equally simple, as the thread engagement can be increased at any point to compensate for any cable relaxation that occurs after initial installation.
