Frameless Glass Aluminium Channel Kit – 5.8m

The Frameless Aluminium Channel Kit provides a complete floor-channel solution for supporting 12mm frameless glass panels without individual spigots or post systems. The U-shaped aluminium channel is set into the floor surface — typically recessed into a concrete slab or deck — and the glass panels slide vertically into the channel, held upright and secure along their full bottom edge rather than at individual point fixings.

The channel method of supporting frameless glass produces one of the cleanest, most minimal frameless glass installations possible. With the glass held continuously along its base rather than at spaced spigot points, the panels are inherently more stable and the floor-level detail is completely flush — there are no visible spigot bodies or base plates, only the glass rising cleanly from the floor surface.

Each kit covers a full 5.8m run and includes everything needed for a complete installation — the aluminium channel, rubber seals to cushion and secure the glass within the channel and plastic fixing plates. The rubber seal also provides a watertight seal between the glass and the channel, which is particularly important in wet areas, poolside installations, and any application where water drainage across the floor is a consideration.

The 150 x 60mm profile accommodates 12mm frameless glass panels and the 2mm aluminium wall thickness provides the structural rigidity needed to hold the glass securely along the full length of the channel run.

This is a particularly cost-effective solution for long, straight glass runs where multiple spigots would otherwise be required — one channel kit replaces a row of individually priced spigots across a 5.8m section.

Installation Note

The channel must be set into the floor surface before the glass panels are installed. Ensure the channel is level along its full length before fixing — any deviation in level will cause the glass panels to sit at an angle. Use the rubber seal included in the kit to bed the glass into the channel and prevent direct glass-to-metal contact along the bottom edge.
