DIY Ready Made Stanchion – Round – Pipe Holder – No Weld – 38.1mm

The 38.1mm Round Pipe Holder Stanchion offers the same fully pre-fitted pipe holder system as the 50.8mm version, in a slimmer, more refined post profile. Eight pipe holders come pre-fitted to the post to accept 12.7mm or 15.88mm round infill tubing, delivering a consistent, evenly spaced infill pattern straight out of the box — no measuring, no drilling, and no welding on site.

The 38.1mm diameter gives this stanchion a lighter visual presence that suits residential applications where the infill tubing is the design focus and a less imposing post is preferred. It is well suited to internal staircases, balcony balustrades, garden terraces, and deck railings where a refined, understated post complements the fine lines of the slender infill tubes.

Each pack includes the base plate, cover plate, and saddle bracket — infill tubing, top rail, fixing hardware, and end caps are all sold separately.

Which Grade Should I Choose?

Grade 304 is strong and reliable, suited to internal applications and external use in non-coastal, non-corrosive environments — ideal for inland areas such as Johannesburg, Pretoria, and most non-coastal suburbs.

Grade 316 (Marine Grade) offers superior corrosion resistance and is the essential choice for coastal properties, poolside installations, and any environment exposed to salt air, moisture, or chemicals. If you are in Cape Town, the Winelands, Durban, or any coastal area, Grade 316 is strongly recommended.
